in person: John Sayles and Maggie Renzi!

This exciting event is part of the week-long Alabama premiere of Honeydripper, the new John Sayles film. Honeydripper is set in the fictional Alabama town of Harmony, and was filmed in Greenville, Georgiana, Anniston, and Midway, Alabama. At the center of the story, set in 1950, is a struggling juke joint named the "Honeydripper." Maverick filmmakers John Sayles and Maggie Renzi will be here for the premiere and the after-party. As in the Honeydripper Lounge, the centerpiece of the after-party will be music, performed by a blues band consisting of a great local group, Microwave Dave and the Nukes, along with two wonderful blues musicians from the film, Henderson Huggins and Eddie Shaw. Admission to the premiere includes an invitation to the party. Buy fast, these tickets won't last long!
